Mike Shinoda has learned a lot about mental health in the last year. The Linkin Park frontman lost his bandmate and friend, Chester Bennington, in July of 2017 to suicide, and is now opening up on what he’s doing to help himself.

Shinoda admits he may not know as much as a medical professional, however, he wants you to communicate the things that are going on in your life with someone no matter how you may be feeling. The singer, songwriter, and record producer is opening up on techniques, your state of mind, and much more in his personal PSA below.

The 41-year-old rocker will join us on September 9 for our “I’m Listening” campaign to mark the start of National Suicide Prevention Week.
