Killswitch Engage is gearing up for a huge 2019, embarking on a world tour with Parkway Drive while preparing to drop one of the most highly-anticipated rock albums of the year.

To make sure he’s at his best and ready to crush all their upcoming plans, frontman Jesse Leach is stepping back to take time for himself. In a now-deleted Instagram post on his main account, the compassionate singer revealed that he’s been struggling with mental health after a recent divorce.

Stating that he had reached his breaking point in a new post on his personal account, Jesse then shared that he’s ready to start his journey to recovery. Part of that journey involves taking a break from social media so he can focus on getting the help he needs. He also assures he has no plans to cancel any shows and describes music as his most helpful form of therapy (along with seeing an actual therapist!).

“I am ok and I will cautiously take one day at a time as this will be a process,” he writes in a sincere caption updating fans on his conditions. Comments are filled with an outpouring of love, support, and gratitude for his honesty.
