Korn changed metal forever with their popularity in the 90s and early 2000s, pushing the genre into the mainstream and driving widespread acceptance with tracks such as 1998’s “Freak on a Leash.” Despite their incredible success and being part of what many name the last wave of real big rock bands, in some cases, things were sometimes far less than ideal in the band’s personal lives.

Guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has been very open about this, revealing his struggles with addiction and how it affected both his own health and his family’s.

In the first trailer for his upcoming Showtime documentary Loud Krazy Love, Welch and those close to him are shown discussing his lifestyle and how it nearly tore his family apart. Daughter Jennea appears as the focus, diving into how heavily it affected her personal life and development. “I changed my perspective on how I saw… love” she reveals.

The documentary will follow his journey from nu-metal icon to committed father and airs Friday, December 14th at 10 PM on Showtime.
